So here's what I've been up to since my last post here:

I had the best weekend ever.

I decided not to buy any gifts for Christmas (except for my kids).

I modeled with a partner.

I got a new bit of space to call my own.

I got the gift of reciprocal love from my children, and I need to cherish and foster it.

I did more writing for Couch Assassin.

I've been establishing new limits within old relationships.

I got nervous about upcoming surgery.

I thought about how long it takes me to be able to know a person.

I had a tubal ligation and wrote about it in parts one, two and three.

I wrote about my love of rain and snow boots.

I wondered about the utility of anger.

I shared information about our book store project and some images from a modelling session.

I aged.

I've cared for friends and family.

I cried.

I made a bit of progress on my life list.

Remember that time I got naked so a bunch of people could draw me? I'm doing it again!

Last week I did something frightening and I want to do it again.

I also spent some time improving some things about where I live. I really enjoy the way things are going and I look forward to doing more.

Something I like about Wordpress is that I can see what people search on google that lands them on my blog. This is a list of the most interesting search terms.

M- I really like the cut and the feel of this shirt. I used to wear it to sporting events ironically. $5

It’s a book – self-explanatory $5

DVDs – $15 for both sets

M- jersey wrap-front dress. Great for nursing $15

M-zip-up from Dynamite. I just never wear it. $5

M- tap-sleeve button front shirt from Joe. I don’t seem to enjoy pockets on my boobs. Otherwise, it’s a nice breezy comfy shirt. $5

Size 8 – Navy shorts from Jacob $10

M- navy dress with swallows print, from Modcloth. I really like it but I don’t LOVE it and I’m trying to streamline things. The hem is longer in the back than the front. $20 ON HOLD

Men’s size small – $10

M- navy mock-wrap dress. Tulip style skirt and come with a slip. From Anthropologie. Again, like but don’t love. $20

M – American Apparel brown zip hoodie – $5

M – Joe workout shorts – $5

M – Paul Frank t-shit with three birds on it. It’s less green and more blue looking in real life. $2A foot spa. I used it once. It has bubbles and massagers. This would be good if you like full-on home pedicures. $5 ON HOLD

A variety of plugs and tunnels and other items from when my lobes were stretched. Mostly 2ga but a few things going as small as 8ga. The glass spirals there alone are worth $50 but I’m asking $20 for the lot because I can’t be bothered to sort and post these individually.

So You may have noticed that I started blogging at Wordpress some time ago. Typically I was crossposting but that's a time suck. He's what I've written in approximately the last month.

I went back to work after a year of mat leave and some sick leave before that. Find out what new tricks this old dog done learned.

I wrote about my struggle with moderation and how I set up checks and balances in my life.

I made a post that isn't about my kids or my marriage!!!

It’s been around 4 years since I spent any quantifiable amount of time sitting at a drum kit and doing for me instead of to make Bobby laugh. It is NOT like riding a bicycle. It IS like riding a bicycle after a space alien has eaten your leg and you have a new leg that is just learning to respond to your nervous system. I loved it. It was fantastic.

Molly 10 months

Molly turned 10 months on Christmas day so I'm understandably (I think) a few days late on her post. Usually I don't include the day of in her month recap but I will include only this tidbit. On Christmas day, Molly began to walk on her own, reliably.

For the week leading up to it, she's been taking 2-3 steps now and then. For a few weeks she's been standing on her own and waving her hands around or walking while holding on to furniture and walls.

When we took Bobby trick or treating we brought Molly along in
Bobby's old turtle costume. People actually gave Bobby extra candy for
his sister. BABIES DON'T EAT CANDY! So I ate it.

Holloween
was a success! Bobby was dress as a lion and roared at everyone who
opened their door to him. We made down one side of our street, so about
15-20 houses before he had to go home to use the bathroom. After that,
he enjoyed handing out the candy.

Bobby's
pretending has gotten to the level of... untruths, for the sake of a
good story. This usually involves being the victim of some brutality at
the hands of one of his friends. We have ways of knowing when he's not
telling the truth. Ways that we may still employ if he ever reads this
so I'm not listing them here.

Above is the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. The shirt is original 80's and says "Anthony" on the back. He loves it.

We've
started having fires in the evenings and Bobby uses his 'big strong
muscles' to carry the log 3 feet over to the fire place. He's very
valuable to us because we are very lazy.
Also you know what he loves? Popcorn. And if you shake chemically created pickle flavour all over it? HOLY SMOKES!

Bobby
is super into Brent right now. Only Brent is allowed to do bedtime. If I
walk into the room he goes "Get out! Get out!"If Brent goes out to run
an errand without running it by Bobby, the whole time he is gone Bobby
wails "I WANT MY DADDY!!!!" through tears. It's so awesome for me. I
mean, the tables used to be turned when he was a baby and little toddler
so it's nice that things are evening out.

Wearing Brent's shoes

Bobby was playing in another room and just walked up to Brent on the
couch and lay next to him. Within 10 minutes they were both asleep. It
was 6:30 pm.

A cousin had her borthday party at a huge indoor
playground. We had never been before and I was afraid because I heard it
was insane. It IS insane but it was also a blast. We are going back for
another birthday party this weekend and Bobby will Lose His Mind.

I seriously am. Since my last posts about winning I have won:

-organic baby cookies (lots of them)
-another farmers market basket (through Brent since I made him fill out a ballot)
-a carseat installation and inspection
-a pass for 10 drop-ins at our local gymnastics club

I would say I win about a third if all things I sign up for. I only enter draws where I actually want to win the prize and I gravitate to draws that are local as the odds are way better than something open nationally or internationally.

And I'm now reminded to buy a CHEO lottery ticket while I'm on a streak!

The
biggest news is the crawling. It's not scooting or army crawling. It's
really full blown crawling! In addition to this, she pulls herself up
onto things and walks along them and will walk when holding someone's
hands. She once stood on her own for a full 10 seconds before crash
landing.

Bobby went to a Paris Fashion birthday party and received a clip on
bow-tie and now he insists on wearing it anytime he's wearing a collared
shirt. I need to find some in a few different colours so he can
coordinate better.
